David Lowery Interviews Minus the Bear

The very first RadioVA session from May 8th. We came up with the “RadioVA” title long after this session, so we called this one “Breakfast with Minus the Bear”. The band could only come into the studio early, so we made a point of picking up coffee and breakfast for our winners and the band. Lamplighter Roasting Company stepped up and donated all of the food and coffee. The coffee shop was recommended by Lowery who said that the place looked like a casting call for a movie about hipsters.

Jake from Minus the Bear played the whole session with his hand wrapped in bandages. After the interview, David asked him what happened to his hand. Jake explained that he burned himself while making coffee drunk. David laughed, pointing to his own hand and said “That’s how I got this!”.
